I love the look of the windmill and tower buildings. However at the village level the buildings are far too small. A village lot is a reasonable size and the buildings should be bigger in my opinion. More house less garden. Now I'm going to have to choose an uglier house that is larger. I appreciate that basements give you more room but I'm still put off them!

Yep, they certainly could offer larger windmill homes, even on a village lot. Right now we see it as one large vertical structure, but if they perhaps build out the house as an attached structure, it gives tons of room for variation in windmills.

Maybe there could be a windmill with a nice large 1-2 story base, then the tower portion could start above that.

I hope there's a way in-game to make the windmill functional.

They should have a Dr Who add-on. Outside it is a windmill, inside it is castle.

Oh I love the basements. Gives everybody lots of room without ruining the look of a village or town. However to me when you walk into a house the initial room should be spacious. It's the first impression you get when you enter a home.

Has anyone done a comparison of the village properties internal space? I currently have a Windmill and agree with the OP that the internal space is pitiful.

Can anyone tell me which village property has the most internal space please?

Its a just windmill, not a castle;)
what space a windmill needs? maybe a small room to eat and sleep and thats it.
For more space check the Add-on store, there are lot designs of houses :)

If nothing else, they need to give you access to the upper floors on some of the towers; admittedly I don't think a player could fit into the tiny towers up there, but you could use it for a little greenhouse for plants, say... or have your House Pet live in one. This is, and remains my largest frustration with housing; every time I see those Neuschwanstein-esque decorations I am sad they can't be reached.

Kinght Marshall Tower has the most space available on a village property.

The windmill could also be used as a shop, but yes it is too small.

Which village house has the most internal space that can be purchased from the Add-On Store please?

Or better yet....buy a bigger house.
Next thing that will be asked is a 4 story outhouse with a windmill, drawbridge and moat.....Id avoid the basement though for obvious reasons...

I like open space in a house. The two I've found so far that have, to my mind, the most open space (village, add-on store), is the Viking house (my favorite), and the Wood & Plaster 2-Story Village Home..(the one that doesn't say "with" anything).

There's a new one though that I haven't seen inside of yet....Wood & Plaster 2-Story with Balcony Village Home. If it's in for R8 I'll def be checking it out since it has a balcony. But the description says 4 rooms so the room size will probably eliminate that one for me since the plain wood & plaster 2-story looks like the same size but with only 2 rooms, one upper and one lower. Just the right size, imo, with open floorplan.

Everyone likes different things though. Best bet is to run around in the next release and check out everybody's houses and, of course, the Mad Hermit's videos are very informative too. :)

Thank you, that is the kind of response I was after. Will take your advice and will look around at the houses in R8.

We have not had the pleasure of testing the Barn village add on house. That one may give you the most space. It is like the barn in Owls Head.
