I bet cities for sure, I could see some in towns and villages sound kinda wierd to me since there are high density housing.
Cities for sure, and possibly a limited number of lots in towns or villages that would be capable of the smaller houses, but nothing bigger. I would think that the cities would provide the ability for larger units, though.
The row lot is tiny in comparison to the others, but the house does fill the entire lot. Even the two story row house has more space than the little shingle house that comes with a village lot.
Imop a few months after this goes live housing will be gone and those who have a single row house will feel like they have something special I remember pre trammel there was no housing left, people lived on boats and preyed their boats didn't sink.
The row lot may be tiny, but fills an important role in creating the feeling and imagery of a city/town core. I'm looking forward to seeing how those lots are positioned to create that. These houses may be great town market places for players with houses otherwise out in the boondocks.
I checked these houses out in R7 and I find them to be depressing. They might have more space than a citizen house but they're not as nice to be inside when it's all decorated that is for sure.
I liked them much better than I thought I would - the things I don't like are the cramped T-shaped rooms on some of the floors, and the fact that there's no yard space (although that's a choice you have to make when settling for one of these lots, so I accept that). Some of the row houses I saw in R7 were nicely decorated and felt comfortable and homely, and I'm looking forward to seeing NPC versions in R8. What was it you found depressing about them? Or was it just a sort of general feeling?
