Please add a box and printed manuals to the physical goods tiers ? (Dev) Replied

Hi,

I really hope that the physical goods tiers in Kickstarter will get a box of the game, too as well as a printed manual and spellbook and the game on DVD. Maybe even the soundtrack on CD.

I agree. I mentionned this on twitter and during the livestream, but to make the Collector edition really unique, it NEEDS to come in a proper game box liek the Ultima didn and it need to have proper printed Lore Book like Ultima did.

This is what made opening an Ultima game box unique. All i want is to get the same feeling when I receive my SOTA collector SWAG.

Yes, I agree. Please add a box and manual(s). As Sergorn mentioned, this was one of the aspects that made the original Ultimas so special.

 

A box for a display case or shelf in a games room is a must, I would also say in addition to this that each new title that comes out have a collecters boxed edition with the same box size

 

I agree with all of the above, a boxed version is a staple of just about every gaming Kickstarter. If that's too expensive to produce I could even live with the olde worlde equivalent of a zip-lock bag with a cover sheet and manual a la Akalabeth which would be kind of appropriate in this case. There has to be a package with the game in that you can sit on a shelf though - it's not a collectors edition without one.

I think I need to update my Pledge !

I found my old Ultima Underworld II box with all its goodies, and have searched high and low for the others and any cloth maps but can't seem to find them anywhere......I guess it must be time to get new ones

If it's the Silver Serpent Necklace, I'm going to certainly not have a rebuttal, that's how it'd affect me *laughs*. I'm glad so many new things were added to the pledges.

 

I still have the ankh and the coin from the old games. Please make the new mysterious physical artifact something different.

As I am one of the premier Ultima collectors, I pretty much have almost every physical Ultima artifact (cloth maps, coins, boxes, real Ultima sword, UO pewter dragons, etc). Something new and unique would be nice.
