To increase pledges at the Ancestor Level, how about adding an ancestral sword (or any other 1 weapon from a short list)? This weapon differs from other starter weapons as it scales in power as the character becomes more powerful/increases in level (perhaps components from other weapons discovered by the player can be used to reforge the blade). This weapon also can have a different appearance based on the pledge level ( a more elaborate nobleman's sword from Lord level and above).

Secondly, how about adding Ceremonial Armor from the Lord tier and upwards? This armor would be primarily cosmetic, adding little value on the battlefield.

Both the armor and weapon can mounted for display in the character's home.

@Whitegray - Sure why not as long as it isnt overpowered and unbalance PvP. Playerskills should mainly be the deciding factor of success in any 1 vs 1 fight, not items.

Good point Ara. Say you start out your adventures as a knight or other noble with a family blade. During your adventures you eventually come across more powerful weapons. I would like a means to somehow transfer the stats of the better blade to the ancestral one (destroying the better one in the process). Thus the knight continues to honor his family name by keeping the family blade instead of simply discarding it when a better one is obtained.
