Spiders, somthing needs to be looked at, it is a little ridicoulous

Dying to a Giant Spyder because you are webbed and hit OVER and OVER is a little pathetic for such a minor creature?? Ill POst Pics of Death Throws when I can find them

 

After I activated the spider in Chillblains I jumped back to ladder and was Webbed and This LMAO sorry but that is Pathetic.

I agree. many a time I have tried to run through a group of the fouls beasts to mine some ore, only to be completely covered in their yucky spider sauce and rooted to the spot!

 

Yup one spider has got me like this multiple times.

You get stuck for a second or two and then get a whole steam of hits after you break free and are running away. Insta killrd by a single spider.

There is something wrong there for sure. But I dont know how you would reproduce it.

 

I got webbed repeatedly by a single spider and couldn't escape. It took probably 3 minutes to kill me, but I couldn't escape.

 

This is a little different than just getting stuck.

You get like a chain of damage all in a row non stop. It has ended in death the couple times it has happend to me.

 

I kept getting one-shotted by a spider.

I would die, become a ghost, resurrect in the same spot to see the spider camping me, and get one-shotted again.

After half a dozen times, finally I must have dodged or something as I was able to get a few steps away and escape on the run. But it too a bit of doing.

 

I was just about to post the same thing. A spider hit me from across the room in Ruins of Ravensmoor and you can't move, fight back or get out of the webbing. It's a neat creature, but needs to ease up just a touch. It can't have that much webbing or venom!

 

even the hordes of small wolf spiders in the newbie zones are pretty annoying (but not as buggy as described above!)

As you're starting up check the options button and then the controls tab, you'll see screenshots is F11. Personally fairly early on each release I check out the controls and game tabs to see what changes I can use. There are changes every release so I pays to keep up. ;-)

 

Great to see the dev's post in Sunswords bug post. So later on in Dec this bug hopefully goes away.

In the mean time remember that Jumping (spacebar) can break stuns and roots. I found this glitch was always death early on but it's been ages since I've died to it by jumping and running then coming back and "... strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger..." that particular spider. I've found that most of the time even if a spider does it at first breaking off and coming back usually resets the spider's normal behaviour.

 

Their rooting skills are much more potent than any mage's at this point. I think their ability to web you is a cool addition...makes them more formidable however them neverending venom bath that occurs afterwards is a bit riduculous
