R13 Wipe

Does that include characters, or just items/possessions?

I'm trying to encourage myself to play but with the impending wipe for r13 I'm not finding many reasons D:

Until R13 that is.

I will be committing too many hours once r13 is released.

 

It would expect a full wipe each release until it is indicated otherwise.

 

ya I'm in the same boat doesn't take long to run out of stuff to see or do only little more than a week away though the desert biom looks neat least from the screen shots hope they have a higher lev zone in R13 not much is hard after you start hitting 40

 

I know how you feel that I just don't have a whole lot of motivation to play and repeat the same things between wipes right now. I've been largely holding off until there is more content. That being said, someone needs to test and submit bug reports and we want to have a vibrant community in game while new people from Steam are first discovering it.

Right now my bigger focus is going to be trying to write and submit in game books in the Scholars sub-forum more than playing, but I will try to sneak in some play time when I can.

 

I am using this time to buy a bunch of things to see if I will like it. Also testing out different builds (magic, ranged, duel wielding, two handed, etc) to find my niche. So hopefully by the time full release comes around I know what and how I would like to play.

 

This just made me want to play less. Sure i had fun those 6 hours of killing wolfs, but i wouldn't want to do it again that fast! When is 13 scheduled to release?

I empathize that it isn't fun to grind to level up only to have it wiped, but we are just testing now. I waffle between not wanting to get burned out on a game I really want to enjoy at launch and yet also wanting to play a bit in pre-releases to submit bug reports and support other players.

We should be testing, as everyone likes to remind everyone, this is "pre" alpha.

Will lot deeds be wiped also?

 

They have been in previous wipes....fresh start. You get to run around with your underwear on your head until you figure out how to put them on properly....the little opening goes in the front, and the big flap goes in the back..

 

They won't wipe unless they need to

 

Seems Darkstarr is leaning towards no wipe, which makes me think the rewards will not be coming out with R13. But they are starting a 7 day timer, so if a homeowner is not active, or his friends are not helping him by moving things on the lot, poof the lot becomes available. That begins on the 10th, so at R13 there may be house fallings .. Don't get excited idoc crowd, all the contents go to the players bank

 

I think that might be a fair assumption. If we were getting lot deeds with pledge rewards in R13, they'd want to wipe.

 

No real need for wipe anyway... at least 2 towns still have empty plots >.>

 

I just started in R12 so just trying to figure out what to do since i have the in-game gold to purchase a lot now. If they wipe the lot do you still have the deed in R13 you just go pick a lot again or you start R13 with no lot, no deed and no gold? (in which case i will be buying ale for everyone on 12/17)

 

Looks like R13 surprisingly is not getting a wipe unless they have to.

 

I suggest everyone wipe. I already had enough dysentery from that trip to Oregon.

 

Look I don't think every one understands THIS IS ALPHA testing it's not the game yet it still being built. We are extremely lucky to be able to help the Devs to test this awesome concept, wiping the game with each release is what happens we get to try all manner of thing out befor every one else and come time of release then we get goodies and knowledge others don't have. So play ENJOY and use the wipes to try new char builds buy a house try deco ETC.
