How do water lots work? For example, a founder Lord pledge comes with a town deed, a home, and a houseboat. Are there certain town lots that also have water portions that connect to your main plot by a bridge? So once you choose it with the deed, you can then place your house and your houseboat and they're connected? The descritpion makes it sound like this is the case. "Houseboat, floating on the water, attached to your Town property by a bridge"

If that's not the case, what is going on and how does it work? Thanks!

That was the original wording, but it is a little bit unclear. The fact is, if you have a Lord pledge, you are entitled to a town lot. You can place on that lot ANY house that you have the ability to - anything from citizen up. You can choose from any one of them.

Now if you select a waterfront lot, what you essentially have is a chunk of water adjacent to a beach. You can obviously only build a waterfront style house there; houseboat is the obvious one. It will come with a jetty so you can get on board. The "land" that you own is a narrow strip of beach front - about equivalent to the front yard of a land-based lot. You can put decorations, ankhs, braziers etc there but there's not room to place another house.

    Hope that helps a bit.

Good question aroundtownclown. The town deed gives you a single piece of land to place your home on. In your "Founder Lord "example, you have a choice of placing either a home OR a houseboat (assuming you are able to secure a plot by the water). There will definitely be enough land to place the home that came with your pledge reward, but water lots will be in limited supply and available on a first come first served basis.

You will also have one of every home below your pledge level, but again, because you only have one piece of land, the additional home styles just give you more options to select from when placing a home.

Hope that clarifies things for you.

Ardoris and Kingsport have some nice water lots for you to check out how they look.

Add-on question. The tiers above Lord Marshal don't appear to include Lord Marshal. Is that an oversight, or intentional? Thanks!

That is because Lord Marshall was a later addition. It wasn't one of the earlier tiers.

Generally higher tiers include everything (except lot deeds) from tiers below it.
