What is the best computer for this game? It looks as though I may be able to have about $15k to spend on a new computer.

With that much money does it really matter? Get the best damn computer you can. It'll last you years and you have any problem playing SotA. :)

No new computer should cost 15k. I went crazy overboard on mine and it only cost 3k.

I wonder has anyone used a Steambox like with the paddle and the whole system supposed to be a good system as well? Depending on what you get too.

With that much cash to burn, buy the top of the line components now and it'll last you many years to come.

Well you can go crazy and max out the specs at some of the boutique vendors like Origin PC. I went up to 15k with 8-core Haswell-E, 32 GB memory, twin 1TB SSDs, 5x 8TB HDs, Quad NVIDIA Titan Blacks, all components liquid cooled of course. Of course, I'd have to win the lottery before I click Buy :)

Im not sure what your asking. No Pc will run you 15k but i'm sure you already know this. Sounds like your just showing off your stacks. Buy the best parts you can find and put em together.....that should work.

Or you could just look at the recommended specs and build a pc around that. That would technically be the best build for the game wouldn't it?

Whatever you decide to go with I wish you luck sir.

Very nice build. If you don't really need it, I'd junk all that add-on software. I'm surprised the memory is rated at 2133MHz. You can easily do 2666MHz modules, but I guess it depends on the motherboard. Not sure why the HD is rated at 6k RPM. Those usually run at 7200 for internal desktop drives.

And man, Windows 10 can't come soon enough.

I thought I heard somewhere that Win 10 is a free upgrade if you already have at least Win 7. Is there any truth to this?

Yes, if you upgrade within the first year of Win 10 being released, which is expected later this year. If you're so willing, you can try the Windows 10 Technical Preview now, but I'd personally wait unless you have an extra machine that you can format and test on.

Just buy a nice 2K setup and replace it every 24 months. You will have top of the line gear for the next 14 years and 1K for girl-scout cookies.

I think he'll be good for at least 4-6 years before he has to upgrade the GPU to maintain high fps in next-gen games in that timeframe. He went overkill on that with his dual Titan Z setup unless he plans on going 4K res before then.
