The Garden of Blood and Stone.

The Blood guild will soon open our new gladatorial arena for everyone, but before we do their are some finishing touches to be done (final location will our PoT but for now we will use a large plot of land).

There will be personalized seating and box seats in the arena. Admission is free for all spectators.

We will start off with three weekly tournaments where the winner is prized with 100,000 Gold Pieces!

We will hold a monthly 'Royal Rumble' for anoyone who wishes to participate. The top prize will be 1,000,000 Gold Pieces!

The rules are simple for the weekly tourneys... you duel with the other participants and when you win you get 3 points and if you lose you get one point. Depending on how many participants there are we adjust how matches you fight. The best part is that you will scored and the record will be kept by myself and the guild officers. We will post the spreadsheet and will have a third party audit it every week (we have yet to find this player but are open to volunteers; must be someone not in Blood).

Every three months we tally the points and the winner of the gladiatorial season get a further 1,000,000 Gold Pieces (we have not settled on this amount, depending on how things go we will raise it).

The arena and the purse require not only our funding but also a modest buy in of 5,000 Gold pieces.

This is the important part:

WE KEEP ABSOLUTELY NOTHING FOR OURSELVES.

We arent doing this for money but so ething far more valuable... tradition. We want wvery to know that Friday Night Fight Night is sonething they can come sit and watch and enjoy.

The more participants the larger the pot. It is our goals for the arena to pay not only for itself but allow us to, say, only fund half the cost... ir less depending on how much you guys like it.

Here is what I need from you at the moment:

-Ideas on how to make spectator sports fun in game
-suggestions (any)
-you thoughts on the size (we will make it town lot sized for now but we intended to make it city sized and then Keep sized and finally Castle sized). We will not be using the property for the guild, this is open for everyone.
-Help with the maths and how to ensure we don't hemorrhage gold to the point that we can no longer afford to pay attractive purses and the rent on a lot big enough for the arena.

As a final not please be advised that to watch is free but to participate in the monthly Royal Rumble you will need to go to the Oracle and go PvP. You will not have to run around with threat of attack as you will be able to zone to me (the arena will be my lot).

When /zone is gone we will make arrangements for safe travel (we were thinking about implementing a guild escort service if you needed it... open to ideas)

This could end being the best tournaments ...

At the start just use the entry fee to make the prize....otherwise could end nasty for you pockets....
If allowed some kind of betting gold from spectators between them even better...

 

if you want to attract more people maybe doing brackets its a good idea....just 3 brackets...1-29, 30-59, 60+...

 

maybe just 2 brackets...there aren't many low level that fight anyway....

 

Ok so far:

1. We will implement zero house commission spectator betting. A small portion of contenders entry fee will go to the house for expansion and other purposes.

2. We tossed around the brackets idea and came up with 69 and under and 70+.

Please continue with your suggestions as they are all not only appreciated but so far all have been most wonderful!

Remember this is for all of us and we are only going to expand the on the fights (games; will be talking to devs in the near future about how we can make Bloodstone a Las Vegas type place for players to blow off steam. Our end goal is a metropolis sized Las Vegas strip!!!

We are also open to fund raising ideas for this (we already have a patreon account (again all funds will be audited by a third party to ensure that all the money goes back into the game (we literally want to keep nothing as its against ToS and we want to bring the community together for the next decade

 

Yes it will be!

We want to know what figure would attract the most people we could offset our cost with admission from contestants. But we really are willing to throw our own funds in to make a really attractive prize.

 

You're in buddy! Love all the suggestions. We are also planning on holding an exhibition with two other guilds (to remain nameless until talks are finalized.... but I think everyone will be pleasantly surprised at the line up for day one). We are going to make a steady stream of regular powerhouses (again to remain nameless for now) for people to come and fight.

I mean who wouldn't want to fight the Bloodlord or ????, ???, ????? or even ????????? - just to not name a few!!

More fun surprises to come including chest gambling prizes with crafted loot, gold, etcetera.
