POT Templates

I know it was stated that the metro cities would be worked on first. But I was wondering if a lower level city was using one of the templates already available if that city would be finished more quickly.

 

All templates developed can and will be able to support any size Player Owned Town.

The PaxLair template is not intended for Metropolis alone, but any settlement size from Holdfast up.

I understand that any town size can use the templates. I was wondering are they totally going to finish all the metro cities first before starting smaller cities. Some of the smaller cities might be fine with the templates available at that time which they would be quick to turn out. They could have assistants working on smaller cities using the templates available. The larger cities and new templates will take time and require more experience. 200 pots is a lot to turn out.

I am just voicing my concerns on the time involved.

At this time.I am only aware of the 1 template in game. If anyone knows of more please advise. So your choice is use the one template avalible. Short answer prob going to have to wait till they get to your town size.

The developers have stated that the order of implementation will be largest first, with the earlier purchase dates being completed prior to later within a size.
However, they've already deviated from this with the second POT to be configured.

So, there is stated intent vs. reality.

 

To me it would then make sense, in the testing phase of POT development (which is where we are), to choose another sized POT and apply it to that template with a different biome. Now you've provided visible look on how :
A : How a template can be used with a different biome
B: How that template supports a different size town.

All of which is important when deciding how you want your town to look/feel. Being the earliest in this case may not be the greatest thing
Personally I look forward to seeing an island in both metro and holdfast form.

I have no issues with how TEST towns are chosen or even why. I just want to see as many template choices get up there as fast as possible, so all those options will be available. In the long run I still see them using the order of implementation as described.
