Stuck Updating the game...

    This has been stuck like this for the past 12 hours. Can't get past it.
    Windows 7 Ultimate, Etc, Etc. Blah, Blah, Blah.

    Do I really have to uninstall the entire game and reinstall the entire game for no reason?

    I was in and playing a few days ago. Now this.

    There seem to be a lot of people reporting that the standalone launcher is not updating/patching the game properly. It is working through Steam.

    The devs don't keep up to date on the General Discussion sub-forum. The best place to report this is in the R20 bug forums.

    I've had this issue as well. What I have done is close the launcher and then restart (several times if needed) until it started the updating/patching.
    At least, this has worked for me.
    Also using Win 7 pro.

    Well, I'll try it a few more times, but I'm not going to use steam, I don't like steam.

    I am having the same issue Stuck at 0% have restarted Launcher Several Times No Help.........

    WTF im not able to update either ... I did a clean install and still no love ! I have more money invested in this game than I do my real life , and I still cant play !

    Problem resolved ... for me at least . ( simply opening the launcher and letting it marinate for 15 minutes then clicking inside the update window) resolved my issue. Pure coincidence or timing ... I have no idea. What I do know is that it eventually started downloading.

    Me too. I think its the Portalarium game server getting jammed up especially when its a fresh patch. On Steam I just would change server location and restart to get it going again it. Stand alone you can restart the client. Eventually it DLs.

    Star Citizen is having a similar issue and the root cause was Amazon CDN intermittently failing to serve up patch files. SotA like uses Amazon's cloud storage/CDN as well.
