The thing I always enjoyed with sci-fi elements in a fantasy setting was how it was approached. The game Worlds of Xeen, for example, was VERY sci-fi heavy as the plot revolves around an ancient machinery malfunctioning, and the quest to eventually correct it, but for the average person, it was all considered magic due to the supernatural nature. This is specifically called out by Arthur Clarke as his "Third Law" - "Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic."

@HoustonDragon Played Martian Dreams when it came out and never really got into it to be honest. Though I will admit I loved Worlds of Xeen. My favorite MM game though will always be MM II. It took me forever as a kid on my Apple IIgs to beat that game.

Yeah yeah.. and I'm sure Chris is going to keep it up for awhile. I want to a good sport but I'm not overly fond of 'god' names. I suppose it was inevitable though.. and yes thrice is a word.

 

As the story went the farmer thought he said "Kill Rathy" I don't know who this Rathy fellow is but.. however that dialogue went.

 

The tigerman was looking for "Kill Wrathy" when Mack accidentally ran him through with his Hoe of Destruction. The tigerman was good eatin' though

 

I was actually quite amused the first time in Tabula Rasa when I saw Exo-DU5.. I was like you've got to be kidding me! lol On that note I would similarly amused if there was a similar story to the Kill Rathy one but with a crashed Bane ship and a 2 legged talking bug man.

 

What I understand of all of this, is that we are incredibly.... old... old guys... damn. so much time passed!!!

There's already my ship which is buried in the lava flow of the Hellfire Rift at the Blackblade Mountains. I crashed after smashing into Daedelus debris. Good luck finding it.
