Royal Elderberry Seed:

I did not get my Royal Elderberry seed back after harvest and after creating the dye.

 

Neither did I. Are we now out of luck until the next wipe in July?

 

My Royal Elderburry Plant is not riping at all. Waiting since days.
Same for the Immortality Fruit.
In a planting pot, not inside the Greenhouse.

 

@Lord Baldrith @Wintermute of CoF The current design is for the Royal Elderberry Seed to be returned upon usage of the dye by the owner. It should appear in your inventory once an item of clothing is successfully dyed.

 

Are we supposed to get 2 plants per seed? Just curious. I did get 3 seeds back from 4 plants last time. I have 3 more growing now to test some more

 

It should be 1 seed per royal elderberry plant. There is a system in place that should prevent the acquisition of multiple seeds upon dye use...

 

I will let you know what happens this next harvest. I received 2 plants when I harvested each seed last time, which gave me 4 elderberries. When making the dye I got 3 seeds back haha...Ya confusing. They should be ready tonight when I get home...I'll take some screenshots if it is doing weird things again.

It's OK, setting aside the insane logic that requires the seed to somehow be in the bottle of dye, I've given up any thoughts of making a purple outfit until after the wipe in July.

 

Okay. Here are the findings: Each seed makes a bush. When harvesting the bush you get 2 plants. For this example I had 3 seeds to begin with. I harvested all 3 and got 6 Royal Elderberry. I made 6 dye. I dyed 6 pieces of clothing and got back 5 seeds. Here are the pics:

I have 3 plants to harvest.

Notice I have 6 Royal Elderberry from the 3 plants. Also Royal Elderberry X2 is added for each plant.

After finishing dying I have 5 Royal Elderberry Seeds, not 6.


On a related not, the Royal elderberry bush was alot slower to grow in my greenhouse than cotton. Not sure if it's supposed to be a slower bush and not effected by growth speeds of the greenhouse.

Please let me know if you need more info I have 5 seeds I can work with on a new test

 

My limited findings:
- had 1 seed, got 1 plant (did water 2x only, not in greenhouse). Got back 1 seed when using the dye.
- bought 1 dye, did NOT get a seed when using the dye

 

I have 5 more growing...should be ready soon. Growing them outside the greenhouse this time...I will let you know if I still get 2 plants per seed. I will also see if I get 1 seed back for each dye...Very strange stuff indeed with these plants

 

This is as designed. Only the original owner of the seed would get a new seed upon using the dye.

 

Noticeable improvements. I planted 5. 5 plants yield 5 berries now. Dyed 5 pieces of armor and got back 4 seeds. Probably a fluke from the bug...Thanks for the work on this Attenwood

 

Could you guys add something about this to the item description? It would probably save you a lot of future bug reports, trades that people didn't realize what they were trading, and just be generally helpful overall.

 

I was looking for the royal elderberry seed as it was included in the pledge when I purchased it, but now I don't see it. Please don't tell me that it was removed or changed to a higher level? I cannot afford a higher level and I really, really want that dye.

 

It was not removed or changed. So you may have deleted it, misplaced it, misused it (planted and gotten the dye) and then misplaced the seed?), or traded it, or sold it, or possibly you're not searching for it in your bank or inventory correctly? If all those things are not not, send a support ticket.

You'll get it again after the next wipe though if it's supposed to be in your inventory. So don't freak out.

 

Thanks, lol. But I didn't see it listed on the pledge page anymore, that's what I meant. Then I realized that they removed a lot of stuff for new pledges and that's probably why I don't see it there anymore, as well as the physical copy of the game, the cloth map, etc that was the reason I pledged so high. I didn't look in the game for it yet.

 

Then again, if it was only for those who pledged in 2013 then I misunderstood the posting in the first place and won't get it, anyway. So confusing.

 

Look in the game, if not there send an email to support to figure it out.
