    I belive the hospitallers is meant to help and guide new people.
    So perhaps a sign for new people to look for guidance there?

    I mean, NPC crafting vendors sell Hospitaller Symbols. They cannot be used for decoration or worn, so what are they used for?

    It is used in recipes to make hospitaller items like signs to indicate lots where new players can find assistance.
