    Cause we pledged so much Money at the telethon experation Event 1, it will be an generous gesture from Portalarium if we get the Clockwork Dragon Pet within this telethon and place it not into the stretchgoals of the next experation Event.

    The end of the Telethon was exciting but abrupt. A few things were missed (prizes, pledge giveaways) and there was ongoing carnage and then ..... gone.

    It was a great spectacle! I think the dragon pet would make a wonderful - and lasting - finish to an amazing end of the world party!

    The Balloon and the Airship are still on sale, maybe Portalarium is still trying to hit the Clockwork Dragon goal with us! whoohoo!

    Word of caution: Hot Air Balloon needs a fairly large empty space on your Village lot to place properly (almost all the way to the middle of the lot). If your village home is any bigger it will not fit as it needs flat ground (does not float above your house at all). Also, impossible to place on the Village water lot (even when it doesn't have a house on it). Sad panda . . . :(

    I do agree it would be an awesome "thank you" gesture on the devs part if they did it. A classy move.

    But, I wont hold it against them if they don't.

    I think this is a good idea! We weer super close, and everyone is already excited about them, so hopefully they don't put them off too much.

    They tweeted this about 6 hours ago (so about an hour after the telethon was over)

    Things have more value when they are earned. Satisfaction is greater when a a goal is achieve rather than lowering the bar. If everything is within your grasp you have little reason to reach higher.

    ...but "close enough" is also an accepted measurement of success.

    I disagree.

    The goal wasn't reached, and piling additional development work on a small team who has more important work to accomplish seems foolish. The clockwork dragon will be included in the August telethon.

    I personally liked Darkstarr's plan to add the clockwork dragon as a stretch goal in the next telethon. Surprise gifts such as the walkman sprung upon us are great, but agree with Rufus, I suggest consistency with the stretch goal stuff. It might kind of kill the point of telethon stretch goals if we get it for being close, but it being added to the next telethon seemed a perfect incentive and "compromise since we were close" idea. I was impressed by Darkstarr's thinking on his feet with that one, myself ;)
