what is the time ratio of game time to real time? I am basically trying to figure out how long a 7 month potion will last in real time.

    Additional time details:

1 Earth Hour = 1 NB Day (Midnight is always at the top of the hour (0:00), and noon is always at the bottom of the hour (0:30))
    1 Earth Year ~ 26 NB Years

    1 NB Year = 14 Earth Days (336 Earth Hours = 336 NB Days)
    1 NB Month = 28 NB Days
    1 NB Month ~> 1 Earth Day

I think it is beyond silly that we're hitting 100 years in game and it ruins the lore, especially given that this game hasn't even launched yet and is supposed to be around for years.

Suspension of disbelief. I use it all the time, it's needed in many movies, shows and video games :)

I admit, I don't like the ambiguity of the potion times in-game vs real-world time.

It is lazy and inconsistent design. It is just as easy to say that people live for centuries in this setting or to have a different rate of time.

But these are intentionally inconsistent and conflicting design decisions to say 200 years ago was ancient history, except when it isn't.

It is 7 real days and the counter does not stop when you are logged out.

Are these times for single player online as well or just multiplayer online? I have never tested it, and I mostly play singleplayer online, but the time for day to night seems shorter to me in singleplayer online. I guess I will have to test it.

It should be the same, but a 24 to 1 ratio is always going to feel short.

I admit the game can be very dark. Houses/taverns need more windows and more ambient light during the day and more artificial light at night. Heck I mean the inn in Soltown I don't think it has one light source beyond the fireplace. How do those people see to drink there ale!
