Firey Decay (life drain)

Title: Spell Damage: Firey Decay does not seem to give any life transfer at all.
Reproduction Rate: 100%
Blocker? no
Details: I never seem to get any life transfer while using firey decay. My health does not increase in fact it always decreases (maybe it is because I'm being attacked, but I mention it incase it is the same issue from a few weeks ago where spells targeted the caster.)
Steps to Reproduce: Combine Fire Arrow and Death ray, and cast firey decay.
User Specs:
OS: Windows 10 (10.0.0) 64bit
CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4770 CPU @ 3.40GHz (8) System RAM: 16301
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 GPU RAM: 4058

same issue here on my side, 100% reproduciton rate

 

Have you been getting skill gains with Death Ray when you cast Firey Decay? I have cast Firey Decay many times and the bar doesn't move at all but when I can Death Ray by itself I do get gains.

 

Not sure. I have both skills locked at 40 at the moment but I didn't notice much gain if any from death raybut it might have been due to sharing xp and having a low pool or too many innates ser to raise??? Im not sure.
