Improving virtue of truth

So upon looting multiple sacks boxes etc trying to find pecan nuts, tea leaves, ginger root, and many other Rares that pop in containers I noticed my truth virtue level I'd now -29. 1 time a farmer merchant cough me and said "put that back". I tried but could not. How do I improve my truth virtue? Quests?

I'd like to know this too. Sometimes I think the only way is to kill all the watchers so they can't report back to the Oracle. I suspect that my raiding deserted houses and bandit camps affects my truth virtue negatively, but the Oracle refuses to give me any details on why I "disdain" truth. And I fail to see what stealing has to do with truth anyway. If the virtue was "honesty", I would understand.

How do you see your truth score? By talking to the Oracle? Sofar she havent given me any numbers

 

It is present toward the end of the chatlog when you delve for it after entering /stats ingame. Good luck deciphering the numbers though. Apparently you can have negative values...

 

I use the uri hub app. Not sure the link as I'm on my phone. It tells you tons of stuff. Adventure lvl,etc etc under the misc. Tab scroll all the way to bottom.

I'm wondering whether you spoke with the quest NPC in Vertas, where he asks you the name of the first dark lord, and whether you guessed or answered well. My truth score is -179 after wrongly guessing the name of a Darth.

 

I do know someone said they had -2300 virtue and a child npc approached them and said " why does the Oracle not like you"? Sooo apparently it affects their reaction and posible prices?

 

I just gotta say, this is fun news. Consequences in game... I love it!

Although, I am a bit hesitant to track my virtue stats ... I don't think I'm ready to declare myself good or bad... or neutral. The XP LOW button and tax rates are already steering how I apply myself in game... I may just continue discovering things and sorting out what I like to do and when the Devs decide to disclose what the virtue stats represent - maybe then I'll check and go full-bore good or bad.

Sadly, my virtue of truth is now -306. It was -221 (not sure how), and then I got caught taking a vial from a shop table. I didn't realize how stiff the penalty is!

My virtue of love is 19, and courage is 0...

I have to wonder how much it costs when autoattack kills a lil bunny... or those guys who were going around destroying the watcher's clockwork pets...

 

My Truth virtue is over 400 - my highest virtue actually. I do tend to favour truthful quest outcomes for the few quests I've completed. I also usually tell NPCs (truthfully) "My name is Rossum" when I meet them for the first time. Don't know how much that helps.

I shoot bunnies and watchers all the time, accidentally (thanks autoattack!). Hasn't brought any of my virtues into the negative yet.

Quests, of course. But not always. We can improve Love by giving money to beggars, or loss some virtue points killing fawns (they are slaves and may beg you to spare them).

 

The only quests I could find are the Love ones. My Love is over 300. What are the Truth quests? Can't seem to find any . . .

 

Quest like the Japeth, in Soltown, allows to either tell the truth, or rather act on a love way. I don't know how much it improves truth, however.

 

Mostly just the Soltown quests, and one or two from Ardoris. There were options to reveal certain hurtful truths, report people to the guards, etc (presumably increasing Truth at the expense of Love).

 

I see, I should be more truthful in my answers then! Off to tell to Truth and nothing but the Truth!
