butchery confusion: rabbit yes, deer no

Sota wiki doesn't say anything other than needing cleaver and carcass.

I guessed at doing rabbit, and the recipe showed up, but trying to do the same with deer the button doesn't activate to craft.

 

If you don't have enough skill to discover the recipe, the button won't light... So kill some chickens, pigs, cows, more rabbits... and of course sheep...

 

I think deer was one of the first things I butchered. Check your tool? Heck I don't even have rabbit yet! Only 4 butcher recipes for me but skill over 50 ... then again, I get a lot of deer.

 

This was the 2nd day of this character, the first doing this.

 

Got answer in Discord last night.

I could have sworn I dropped a stack of what ever I put first (rabbit) and it worked.
Apparently for new things you don't know you can't have them stacked.
Inconvenient but now it works.
