Stacking of Items in Bank? (and elsewhere) Can we get an explanation as to why this happens?

This is a picture of a section of my bank? Can someone please explain why not after Rewards are claimed that like items are not combined? Everything in this bank has been put there due to my town being reset why is there 7 separate stacks of Corpse Wax? This should have been something that should have been fixed ages ago. This is consistent even when you purchase items they still do not combine?

Please lets try and figure out stacking of items or at least give us a key and a mechanics to force them to stack?

How on earth did you manage to make them global instead of local? Nice bug to have though. Maybe they'll let us keep it?

 

Agree completely with you. This is one of my biggest pet peeves in the game.

Since items don't automatically stack when you drop them into any container - bank, your inventory, a chest, whatever - I have to spend a frustrating amount of time scrolling through inventory lists to ensure I combine similar items.

This is the greatest source of annoyance I have with the game. The lag that I get when scrolling through a long inventory list adds to the fun too.

This is such a basic feature, I'm really baffled why it isn't in game. I only really started playing in R31, and I read somewhere that auto-stacking used to work previously ...

 

Some other people had said it's a bug, not too long ago.

 

I would say the plant watering confirmation gump is actually #2.

 

I had my town temp changed and as a result all my properties where evicted so everything was sent global since my Town went away if only for a blink

And everythgn was either there or in the towns bank already soooo

 

Switch the GUI format for your inventory, keep the items you want to stack in the 1st level of your pack. When you hit "E" to loot... everything auto stacks fine.

 

OUCH! Bet that's gonna take a few days to fix. 8^)

Yes, looting a corpse is the only place where auto-stacking works correctly.

I'm talking about moving items from your inventory to other containers, or between containers. Like a bank. Or chest. Or backpack. Etc....

 

ahh ok read that wrong. yeah I end up having to do the weekly combine similar items task. It's a good end of the night task when you are too tired/drunk to do anything else........... trying to put lipstick on a pig here. I agree it's totally annoying.
