are infuriating. Mobs on the maps should also be subject to slowing down when going through trees. You pretty much can't avoid many at this point which I don't think is intentional.

It's intentional and Ohh so immersive, like driving nails in my head immerses me in pain.

Yeah, there's not enough boredom without having the stuff that we're supposed to be able to ignore pull us into an instance with a bunch of Does ....

So far I managed to evade every encounter I wanted to evade.

    Edit:
The only problem I have with encounters is that you usually pull the whole instance by attacking a single mob.
Which is my main reason to walk around them.

I have yet to successfully evade a random encounter once it gets sight of me.

As soon as it starts running at me it doesnt matter how far away I get, it will suck me in. I've been halfway or further across my screen from one chasing me and suddenly Loading screen!

    Very annoying

I actually dont have problems avoiding about 75%, but some you simply cant. They dont get slowed from the trees and such.
I like the idea ? But meh on the encounters themselvs.

Just to be clear, it isn't the mobs that we all wish to avoid, it's the two interminable scene loads. If the scene change was instant I wouldn't care nearly as much, and I suspect others wouldn't either.

Agreed, nothing worth stopping for. So just two load screens of annoyingness + 5.

Hopefully they will scale these encounters to your player level better, and add some variety.

/agree, these encounters are nothing but more dps on my already over taxed hard drive. If I want a resource I already know 20 diffrent scenes to get it. And there is waaaaayyy to much loading of scenes in the game as is it.

Yes sad world , so much things that aren't worth it!
Everything need it to be worth right?

Hey, playing isn't worth the time for some people, buying pixels isn't worth it for some people, immersing into rowing encounters isn't worth it.

To me they are it worth !!!

PvP actually isn't worth it :p:D

Hmm not even sure what point you were tyring to make here?

I am just saying if you are going to have a random encounter perhaps scale it. So that those of us who are trying to get somewhere and get utterly no benefit from having to sit through two load screens to fight some thugs that fall over by simply looking at them at this point. Then you grab the 2 mandrake root out of that sweet chest and move on.

Just pointing out some balance here would be a nice addition. But thanks.

Pro dynamic mob strength in encounters , the other point was that I think that not everything in life or games need to make sense or is it worth or need to be worth, if it's fun.

To me this "useless, senseless, not worth the time to load" scenes are it worth because I always - 99%- take the break and take the (not yet very qualitative) immersion.

I agree that this encounters should scale and be more varied. But they do not need to be worth all the time!
Maybe worth of taking a break of beeing effective.

Yea I don't need a "reward" for every random encounter, but I do need a challenge at least or a purpose. Otherwise it's just busywork added to my fantasy game.

So far I have been able to avoid the roving encounters that I don't want to participate since I mostly stick to the main road or just walk around their patrol path.

This is still better than the old way of random encounter that you don't even get to see the mob that would initiate the scene change.

Yea but there are amazing scenes that are better for wood. When u need or want wood u can go there and grab it. When ever im sucked in to a random or chase me encounter im trying to other stuff.

The mobs are always weak and un challanging and the whole scene is boring. Also it adds to the weight of this being a scene load heavy game.

Honestly it feels more like a punishment mechanic mabey one designed to slow players down than any thing exciting to do.

Ive never seen any one in chat say huray I found a random encounter. NEVER!

They get way more excited about dodging them.

right now they are just another scene that we sometimes cant avoid.

there is no story to them.

right now pretty much everything in game is just building the foundations of what can be added and made more indepth in the future. that's what I see ep1 as the foundation. once that is laid we will start seeing the depth we expect to see.

a group of bandits have been harassing travelers and merchants you get waylaid by them and you get find a note deliver it to a town.

you are in a town and see some wanted posters and while out and about you see a group of bandits in the instance one of them is named and you take his head back to town for a reward.

a group of undead are preforming a ritual you can try and interrupt it and save the person or not.

a merchant is being attacked help or attack the winner.

    a pack of starving wolves.

a pack of wolves and a huge pack leader expanding their range.

lots of cool little side stories can be made and added.
