[Known/Expected]Unable to get patterns from salvaging books

    Title: Unable to get patterns from salvaging books
    Reproduction Rate: unknown

    Details: I decided to test the book pattern system:
    1. I travelled to the Tower of the Shuttered Eye.
    2. I donned my Belt of the Ox (giving me a carry capacity of 1,086.3 lbs).
    3. I proceeded to "borrow" as many books as I could carry.
    4. I recalled to my home and attempted to salvage each book at a Benefactor Expert Tailoring Station. The following titles did not cause the salvage button to light up:
    A Boiled Egg Cannot Sprout
    Hearts of New Britannia
    Midras
    Ruin
    The Chains of False Beliefs (copy)
    The Frog and the Ox
    The Grasshopper and the Ant
    The Mouse and the Camel (copy)
    The Oak and the Reed
    The Wolf and the Lamb
    5. None of the salvaged books yielded a pattern. I checked my inventory: no patterns.
    6. Each book had to be salvaged individually. There was no bulk salvage option.

    User Specs:
    OS: Windows 10 (10.0.0) 64bit
    CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4770 CPU @ 3.40GHz (8) System RAM: 16329
    GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX TITAN GPU RAM: 6106
    SotA.EarlyAccess.Win.64.593.Date.04.26.17
    Area: POT_island_metropolis_01_template/Isle of Ghosts
    Area Display Name: Isle of Ghosts
    Loc: (392.2, 77.0, -309.5)

    This is expected. We added a LOT of books to the list but this was just the first pass of the many books we have in the game. We'll add more over time. Regarding salvage, the current books that are salvageable do not have a 100% guaranteed salvage chance for patterns. This is by design.

    Just to note there has been some discussion here: https://www.shroudoftheavatar.com/forum/index.php?threads/book-cover-questions.87772/#post-799726.

    Is it too late to consider an alternate design for how this works? Having a low number of books to salvage for patterns + low drop rate makes this very awkward to use. Using a generic recipe like for weapons/armor - blank book plus symbol - seems so much easier.
