Well, pre-alpha release 1 is over and what a treat that was! We had a great opportunity to look around and explore the environment. Paramount among the things I wanted to explore was the housing and boy was that cool.

Thanks to Portalarium for letting us "taste the sauce" so early in the cooking process.

In case you missed it I put together a short overview of the housing system.

Really good video MadHermit just a shame about the video quality looks like you might be using Fraps, just wondering have you tried Action! or any other type of video recording software to see if you can record at a higher quality?

Edit: I also hear Nvidia Shadowplay is good to and free if you have a 600 or 700 series video card.

I think it is just Youtube. Even HD videos on Youtube with good recording software suffer when uploaded to their site. At least, that is my opinion. Some still look good, but you can see a loss of quality in the upload.

But on topic, good job making that video!

Deliverance, I was using fraps and it was pretty good, but not as good as the actual gameplay on my screen. On my screen it was a bit crisper and the colors more vibrant. Then you have the Youtube factor. Despite recording at 1080P, Youtube likes to make things a bit fuzzy. So what you see on Youtube is worse then what fraps recorded, and what fraps recorded was worse then the actual gameplay. I will look into Action. Thanks for the tip.

@TheMadHermit if the video looks good on your screen then I wonder if the video that is being uploaded with an incompatible codec and causing playback issues. (If you Google this you'll be able to find ways to address this)
At any case I don't want to sway of topic I loved the video it was nice and direct and was well spoken, hopefully you'll do more. :)

If you're using FRAPS, do you have the "Force lossless RGB capture (may be slower)" option checked? I had to do that so that the quality matches what I saw on my screen.
