About spell critical?

I am a new player and i have a question....

about spell critical, it mean magic school or include combat school ?

Equipments made using beetle carapace can improve the physical skills of crit chance?

or both do not matter

Hi let me explain the difference:

To increase the spell critical chance on gear you need a set of Carapacian Cloth (yes you need beetle carapaces and cotton to craft it).
To increase the physical critical chance on gear you need a set of Supple leather (leather and suets is this case).

Level of the skills, your int points and pine/grey pine staves and wands contribute to increase your critical chance.

Some parts of the set of truth, like gloves (obtainable from quests) give also a good % of spell critical.

So just like Thrust, Double Slash, Rapid Fire are Combat skill, is weapon skill damage.

And fireball, Lightning, Chain Lightning are Magic skill, is spell damage, right?

Spell critical and weapon skill critical are different, right?

 

Spell Critical is everything in the 9 magic trees, Physical Critical is Attacks + Weapon skills (and a few of the tactics/subterfuge skills)

If you look at the tooltip from your ability, it will say something along the lines of "1 - 13 Physical/Water Damage", so if it is Physical, it is weapon crit, if it is something else (except poison I think?) it will be spell critical
