Quest problem with password to vigilante camp

I'm in the Vigilante camp in the Blood River outskirts, and the journal tells me to use the password 'cleansing' to get in. However, neither of the gate guards responds to the password. What do I do? Thanks.

If you go strait from elf camp exit towards the vigilant camp, there is a log across the gap and just on the other side of that log is a vigilante looking guy who is actually a quest guy named marcus.

 

@Yistaan if your journal says you should use this without having spoken to Marcus this is a bug and should be reported

 

Good luck, I had so many issues with that quest chain on a new character. Things just weren't flagging correctly, repeatedly. Marcus is a non hostile vigilante on the vigilante camp side of the log on the path between the elf and vigilante camps. You need to chat to him before going to the camp gate.

 

I finally found Marcus and got the password to work. Thanks!
