    Title: Esmeralda's Quest Chain
Reproduction Rate: I've never seen her quest work right. *wry smile*
    Blocker? No
Details: When meeting Esmeralda for the first time, she gives you a task to investigate the top of the steeple. I ended that conversation, then came back a second later to ask about the ghostly echo (two of which I'd already met). However, as soon as I clicked on her the second time, she immediately gave me the experience for completing the steeple, even though I'd never left the room. The task list and journal also updated accordingly, with a lot of discussion of looking glasses that would be confusing for a newbie who didn't already know what was up there.

(For the record, my first character when I was playing offline had already explored the steeple AND been through the looking glasses multiple times before I ever met Esmeralda or knew about her magic dust. I know you can't predict every PC's actions, but please try to avoid the NPC dialogue making any more assumptions than necessary about what we have and haven't done. )

Addendum: I brought her back the skull she asks for, she gave me the magic dust, and then I went up to the mirror. But when I got to the top of the steeple, it gave me the "you should tell someone about this!" screen tip that should no longer be seen after you've talked to Esmeralda about the mirrors. Plus, the magic dust didn't actually work and I got the health hit anyway. (I'm guessing that the first-time-at-the-top trigger somehow invalidated the fact that she'd already given me the dust.)

Also, the journal entry "Ask About Looking-Glass" that has now appeared (after I've already spoken to her about it) says "I tried to interact with it, but nothing happened." This is not true -- as I said earlier, it's perfectly possible to go through the mirror before even meeting Esmeralda.

The "Talk to Esmeralda" journal entry has its own problems -- it tells you that you're "in an inaccessible building below the refugee living area." While this is true (except for the "inaccessible" part), the new player won't actually know this yet -- and being told it spoils the mystery.

Meanwhile, the mirror in the log cabin has turned a lovely but unexpected pink. At first I thought it was just the dawn light hitting it a certain way, but it's morning now. Never seen that before. (Area: Highvale Outskirts (Novia_R6_Hills04_01) Loc: (-608.08, 56.847, 67.129) DBG: Tm92aWFfUjZfSGlsbHMwNF8wMXx8KC02MDguMDgsIDU2Ljg0NywgNjcuMTI5KXwoMCwgMC40MjQsIDAsIC0wLjkwNil8NjcwLjE2OTh8MTcuMjkwNjh8MS4yNQ==) Don't know if it's a bug or just something I've never run across before...

And now she's completely screwed up. After I completed her Step Two (going through the mirror and discovering the log cabin), I returned to her as instructed. However, now she says we're in the middle of step three, without ever telling me what step 3 was, says she's waiting for the Hexe and Elder skulls but never gave me a task for them, says we're waiting for the ghostly echo's boon but never gave me a task for that either. And here I was trying to do things in the right order this time and waiting to hunt those things out until she told me...
