Well, the obvious effect is that the colour of the avatars skin changes just like it changes for Rings of Frogs Kin or Rings of Cuttlekin.
I am not sure about this, but I recall hearing something about the "undead" stat meaning that the avatar is effectively "undead" as far as susceptibility: so the wearer can be damaged by spells/weapons that do enhanced damage to undead, such as banish undead. If true, this would mainly be something that would impact PVP, because I think there are no NPC enemies that do undead damage. I am not sure if this was speculation or not. I have not tested it, but maybe someone out there knows for sure.
