    oops.. I missed that memo; I'll admit I bought one. It was a replacement though....
    I bought a Town Lot previously (mostly because it was advertised as being 1/2 off @ $450) and was pleased when the price went up to $900... less pleased however when they dropped it back to $450. SO I melted it D
    Factoring in the extra 15% bonus though.. what can I say.. The devil made me do it!
    uhh,, at least that's what I'll tell my wife if she asks :)

    I think we'll see some heavy telethon action. The devs sound like they have some very interesting incentives planned.

    I think people will be melting them down as they make decisions for the final time. I don't think a lot of it will have to do with tax rates.

    The tax rates will be changing all the time in the beginning as the devs try to balance the economy. Even if the tax rates don't change, the surrounding economy will, so if it costs 1000 gold today what's that really mean in terms of inflation or deflation tomorrow? No one knows, not even the devs. But the devs have a very strong reason to try to keep taxes as low as they can in an effort to retain players. Making the bottom line that if the real life price of a taxable deeds fits a players budget, it's better to buy it now rather than wait for the lottery and hope you get access.

    Well I'm glad one of these stuck around until I decided if I needed it or not. I decided to up my pledge to Knight Marshal to get a tax free one though. Only bad thing is a KM is at the bottom of the picking list when it comes to lot selection. It'll be interesting to see where I end up.

    I'm surprised the town lots haven't sold out yet. They're half price, plus they have 15% store credit if you're using new money (non-store credit). Once they sell out, people are going to have the option of buying the POT only version for $450 to $900. And the bundles will be more than that. So if you were looking to resell, it seems like a good way to make a profit. If you're looking to use the deed as a primary residence, it gives you the best price with the most flexibility (not restricted to POT only).

    I think we'll probably see them all purchased by the end of this weekend. (I've been wrong before though)
