SAP in Subterfuge seems like SOTA may have a decimal place off. "0.5%" chance to mesmerize? Anyone else think this is not right?
I think it's where it's supposed to be. At level 100 it will be 50% chance with a very long duration. The duration is what forces the chance to be low to balance it. I recently unlocked it, it gains somewhere around 1 second per 10 levels. So at level 100 it would be around a 50% chance to mesmerize for 17 seconds. That gives you more than enough time to pickpocket your target in PvP too.
That actually sounds pretty fun.. but can ppl still jump out of it? I think jumping out of stuns is what breaks all the good pvp stuff.. not that I want to be stun-locked lol! .. but anyway
I'm not sure about jumping out of it, but I do know that if you hit them it will break the mesmerize. It doesn't work the same way as stun where you can keep attacking them. Which is what makes it good for pickpocketing since that isn't an attack. But if they can jump out of it, then I guess that wouldn't work either. I definitely think you shouldn't be able to jump out of mesmerize from another player just because of the fact that taking any damage breaks it already.
I'm pretty sure you can jump out of any mesmerize or stun effect (and yes, I know the difference between the two), which is lame.. if you can test, great! I'm unable to log in at this time... but I remember this is how it's always worked. I would like stuns/mesmerize to be unaffected by spamming that space bar (which is really, really easy).
Was playing with SAP yesterday, i couldnt jump out of it when he mesmerized me? Will check agian, but pretty sure you can't. Though yes it breaks as soon as you get hit by something else.
