This information was going to be included in the R34 instructions but it appears that several of our communications on the raffle were causing confusion so I am including the information earlier here:

    • R33 Lot Deed Raffle Winners: The drawing will be held right before R34 goes live and we will announce the winners on Friday September 30 in Update 196 for the 675 Lot Deeds. The winners will receive their deeds in Release 34. As a reminder here is the breakdown of those numbers:
      • Place Anywhere Deeds (75):
        • Row: 40
        • Village: 20
        • Town: 10
        • City: 5
      • Player Owned Town Deeds (600):
        • Row: 320
        • Village: 160
        • Town: 80
        • City: 40

    • R34 Lot Deed Raffle: R34 will be our second Lot Deed Raffle and there will be another 675 Lot Deeds available. Raffle tickets will again be available for purchase. However in addition for those backers who do not yet own property we are going to automatically enter you into both Raffles in Release 34! Anyone who has game access to Shroud of the Avatar, but does NOT yet own property at the beginning of Release 34 (September 29, 2016), will automatically be given a gift of 1 Raffle Ticket of each type to the R34 Raffle. To claim your tickets simply login to the game, go to the nearest bank and claim your rewards. The drawings will be held on October 27, 2016 and winners will be announced shortly thereafter. Deeds will be delivered in Release 35. Backers are not eligible for this gift if they meet the following criteria on September 29, 2016:
      • Own an Ancestor Pledge or above
      • Own a Viking 2-Story Row Bundle or above
      • Own a Kobold 2-Story Row Bundle or above
      • Own any quantity of Add On Store Deeds
      • Own any deeds won through previous drawings, contests, etc.

@DarkStarr Thanks for this post. One question, when will the R33 winners get their deeds?

question Is there a limited number of ticket or over time are more and more sold and therefore lowering the odds of winning.

If they are unlimited then you are still left with a divide that the rich will buy more and more tickets like the guy who spent 3 mil on tickets will have a better chance - and not a raffle but a lottery, kind of but a lottery is equal odds from the get go a raffle depends on how many you buy you get better odds.

The way it is set up now with unlimited tickets the 1 per account become meaningless over time. In the end you will be forced to just give every player one lot, which is not the answer but only way to balance it out OR limited number of tickets.

Are you willing to state how many tickets have been purchased so far, for each of the two groupings prior to the release? So we can consider odds in our decision? Or will we be using our guts, hopes and dreams on this one. :)

And thank you for the gold sink - its pretty fun to have a goal to grind gold for.

That's actually the definition of a Raffle...

    raf·fle1
    ˈrafəl/
    noun

    1. a means of raising money by selling numbered tickets, one or some of which are subsequently drawn at random, the holder or holders of such tickets winning a prize.
synonyms: lottery, lotto, drawing, prize drawing, sweepstake(s)
If you're proposing that this be set up like a 'number pick' lottery common in the US, where you pay a fee and pick some number of numbers, and win if your numbers match... I don't see how that would work as we're not trying to win a pool of money that might be divided equally among however many winners there might be, there is also the very real possibility of no one winning at all... What is being raffled here are a finite number of items, and all will be awarded.

No raffle that I've ever encountered limited the number of tickets.... The attraction of a raffle is a (small) chance of winning a large prize for a small entry fee. Nor have I ever encountered a raffle that limited the number of tickets that might be sold... to do so would be counter to the purpose of a raffle... that being to raise as large an amount of money as possible selling the chance to win a prize of finite value.

I would not expect this, and I would be very surprised if this information were made public.

@DarkStarr, you might want to confirm for people that Yes, every ticket sold has an equal chance of winning, which means that Yes, a single Avatar who purchased multiple tickets might win multiple deeds.

What if I own the elf 2 story row lot bundle?

Also what if I won a deed from previous drawibg and give it to someone else, would I be eligible for another free ticket?

What happens to the tickets after the drawing? Do they go poof? If not, can we use them as decorations?

Have a pile of them discarded in the corner... a bucket used as a trash can overflowing with them, and a picture of Iron Eyes Cody hanging on the wall over it?

They will stay in your inventory, but no longer be any useful. You can sell them back to a vendor for 100 gp, I think.

Ok but the problem there is no set chance - the odds end up being on how many tickets are sold -

    Sooo

If a guy buy 600 and 32000 get sold he alone has a 1 in 60 chance but a player who only has one has a 1 in 32000 chance.

So you are once again back to the point where the rich can imbalance the odds which was one of the reasons for the "lottery"

As it stands now all this does is give the large guild / power gamers even more of a way to keep pushing the scales their way.

Set number of tickets each month solves this, but I know how well that will go - - -

I can point you to hundreds of raffles that have a limited number of tickets involved. Go to any motorcycle festival and you will find someone raffeling off a bike or car at a set $$ ticket price with a max number of tickets to be sold. Lots of charities and events do the same thing. Please do a modicum of research before making statements if conjecture.
