Avoiding Reddit? There are other options!

Like others said there is really no need for a ton of different subreddits that offer nothing outside of official forums or subreddits that exist currently (and subscriber numbers reflect this).
When it comes to consolidating the stuff from youtube and streams to a more palatable format it's just a matter of using timestamp features or clip features.
As far as consolidating the various posts split up around here (including dev+) that would likely require a bit of community effort and some help from the community managers.

 

Yeah true, Im not accounting for Dev+ threads and quarterly updates. Maybe all it would take is knowing how to use that damn forum search box which im hopeless at. (I always seem to find junk, and is there a way to search youtube video for keywords? lol)

 

Dunno how many work for youtube, but there are advanced search options on google and most forums using things like "s & signs etc that you can dig up, also specifying by authors. Kind of like how people on the subreddits were posting transcripts of videos for example.

 

Sounds like a good idea for a post on that Academy Sub. The art of information searching.

The SotA RAW reddit is terrific; it is a place where uncomfortable and politically unpalatable things re the game get an open airing, something that does not occur here.

I am glad it exists and, quite frankly, Port earned it.

I dont think its as much the critiquing as much as it is the multitude of “sota’s a scam and people who play it are idiots/i feel sorry for them etc”
And “people who hate sota are idiots” and the more custom tailored personal attacks.

“Loot sucks” or “i dont like this game” in general doesnt seem to be a problem afaik

 

I know this sounds kind of condescending, but seriously .. if you want to improve networking and image of the game, burning bridges and layering on insults just makes things worse.
The folks with complaints should be heard as well as those who promote, this is something you are going to have to accept.
