The game improves with each release, some things improve too fast ...

Well, as people cried for more loot, I assume, the target wasn't quantity ...
Now I feel sometimes like a scrap metal / ceramic / glass collector ;)

    Please consider this:

    1. Less is often more: why not making such stuff rare (so it will be more meaningful to find that). And maybe you could insert -really rare- from time to time ANCIENT forks, spoons, or whatever giving a good price from NPC ... Maybe obsidian forks we could also use for smelting ;)

    2. Now, that STORE stuff is available for cotos and you also made (very very rare) lot deed drops, could you also make (rare, but not as rare as obsidian crowns!) these also for loot sometimes?

Really: The store items should be something special to find, but not - like rare items - only after a boss fight!

May be with encounters or in special scenes and also for quests!
(Think about the quests with monk, bounty hunter and researcher: sometimes this could provide also crowns instead of gold and also a "shop" item).

A quest given from a Tailor could sometimes give an eternal heraldry pattern, a special outfit ... for example :)

Loot shouldn't give the feeling of: "oh no, not again!",
but instead: "great, that for sell, that for crafting, and this one: to resell to other players" ...

Sometimes it would be great to receive rare items, like recipe for warlock chain or items needed therefor, after doing a quest or solving riddles in a scene. Not only high lvl Adventurer and Parties in high tier scenes should have the possibility to get them because they have the "beat power" ;)

Doing quests over time, running around and brain power should also be honored - like beat power ;)

If I could just scap all that deco garbage, I would be totally happy (especially the metal items).

I could use the skull to ward off evil spirits and a foot? What better would a foot be used for but to prop a door open so it does not shut behind you? The heart of @Chris could be used to un-nerf a specific skill. The possibilities!!!

To be honest the deco items doesn't bother me a bit. After I reach max load I go to town and sell it all. Sometimes it's something I don't yet have in my house and I take it home.

My question here actually is, why do the mobs carry so much deco stuff around? :D
I mean, almost all of them? o_O

Long answer - would take too long.
Short answer: They would die for deco stuff! - well, I think they did ;)

*laughing* (still having my foot where it have to be)
This seems - well - like a kind of "fetish"? ;)
Spending some blood is one thing - but a part of my body?
What about a stone - or a leather strap, that also could fix your door ;)

That’s pretty much my feeling as well. Though most of the time I just select the deco stuff I don’t want (and torches) and then delete all.

Or what if we learned from the Kobolds and learned to use those items to make some steampunk techie stuff.

A stone or strap doesn't taste good. I imagine myself pulling your foot out, taking a bite out of it and at the last moment realizing I needed something to prop the door open.

I would love to be able to designate a bag where all loot goes. That way i wouldn't mind deco items in the loot. just select all from the loot bag to Sell/Scrap. In the rare case a more valuable item appear, i think it's better to have a speacial loot bag to find it and move the item into the regular inventory.
