How did you use your SOTA-free time?

Hello,
I am a bit of a SOTA addict and the forced abstinence made me do some of the things I have successfully procrastinated so far. Like:
- building two nice Lego Robots (31124) and (31111) and let them slug it out. (31111 won, he /it? has ranged)
- going to bed early and watching a movie
- making diner without any stress, since there was no airship party I had to return to
- watching Lego-Batman with the kids
- not getting eye problems from gaming too much too late

-- assembled a new headboard
--worked on my Blender rFactor2 Python scripts
--started setting up the control bindings for my x56 for Star Citizen
--looked at mattresses for purchase
--looked at Logitech Pro wheel and pedals for purchase
--yard work

 

I've been planning a large Deco POT build project for a very long time, which has changed within it's plan due to this long awaited patch they are currently working on.
Other things I've been doing is helping my wife with her new Thai-Gov issue weed plants and their future. Infused, this and that is in the study while also building our new real life house here in Thailand.

Cooking, sports and a little adulting.

 

We put up wall shelves, exactly like the ones in New Britannia, for our cat. Some are so low, she only uses them to jump to higher ones. We are hoping a family member is able to breed their dog for us, and the shelves are just high enough, so the cat always has a sanctuary If SOTA does not come back up soon, my husband has promised a trip to a local pumpkin patch, to ensure my survival.

 

When I read this, I very clearly saw, assembled a new hoverboard, and went to the next line, like it was normal, then was like wait....

 

installing a transmission and transfer case into 92 Chevy 2500 plow truck (just bought, was cheap for a reason) In-between that, cut 3 cords of firewood, and made enough 1/2" boards to cover the inside of a friends entry way for his home (on the sawmill). Logs do give more than 1 board....sigh

 

Studying hard to get a driver license.

Playing... Dying in project zomboid

 

100% Completion of Cyberpunk on Very Hard.

I was genuinely moved by the ending I got, and remembered more than a few of the characters my V had become friends with along the way. Big shouts out to Claire, Judy, River, and Panam.

There's a lot of "what does it mean to be human" questions mixed in there with all the shooting, and the tale of forgiveness and redemption that happened with Johnny really stuck with me. Seeing him ride off in the bus for the ending I chose was perfect.

Janky game, but amazing enough for me to be irrationally angry about it after it launched, but I couldn't stop talking about it, couldn't stop playing it, and even joined in on the hate brigade while still playing it. Funny thing, that.

 

I have been adulting. Got a new truck. Goofing off on Faceboob. Watching shows on Netflix and hanging out with friends.

 

Played a little Underworld Ascendant, then playing around/learning with Unity. Ate some Wendy's while listening to some new Slipknot. Finally got to binge Obi-Wan Kenobi.

 

So I guess I was the only one who just started up an offline game...

 

Updated the wiki some more since we still could play in offline and I can still test stuff.

 

I have to say I am checking the server status 4 or 5 times a day but I have spent my time walking around downtown Athens, GA listening to many different bands play on resident's Porches. One of the many Porchfests happening across the United States. Athens is know for its band startups like The B-52s, Rem, Driving and Crying, Widespread Panic, etc.These bands are the lesser know but still very good. Here is the list, see if you know any of them.

 

Pressing F5 on the server status web page and by coincidence these days, raising my scripting skill in RL.

 

That is exactly what I did!

I just came back to the game after a few years away (also played at launch) and really was just getting back into it. I wanted to play badly so made my first offline character.

I was surprised I made some pretty good progression, at least for me. I decided to try a ranged build and just got my water elemental pet, finished up the quest line to get my first lot deed, and crafted my first long bow and set of epic leather armor. Not too bad progress for a weekend. Loot definitely seems more abundant offline so that helped a great deal with the gold to fuel my trade skills and development.

My wife got me back playing again just a few weeks ago so still looking forward to get back online so we can play together.

...sick with flu in bed since last week, I just wanted to update at release day... and I thought: this friday I can follow the team.

Will Chris be here? What about Travis/List? Is he still in team? Will we get some information about the main story of Ep. 2?

And then ... well ... you know

I followed the stream of Jack while waiting for server coming back ...

Still waiting. And what I've done since:

Bought a wonderful new bible with great pictures and enjoyed reading diff. pages.
And I wondered, if we - @Ravalox - after a few nice items came in - if we could get a monastary city building?

And while seeing the possibilities for such an outlander adv.scene, I am thinking about alot of people we lost on our journey and how glad I am, I was allowed to meet them...
I send them prayers and best wishes.

To freeze the time can be very helpful to remember, how good life has been until know and to be grateful for what we may have ...
