Those undead must really hold a grudge against me.
Left Middle Downs and stumbled in a random skeleton encounter - the plains one with the ritual sacrifice...

My new brittle equipment had me victorious only to get the ominous threat warning - and then the reinforcements appear as a Malefic Lich Lord and if that would not be enough a Lich Fighter on top...

I have to complain to the Lich King some day. After all why not send Angelina Jolie als Maleficient after me? 50% female skeletons and Liches should be the least to be expected...

By the way - what actually is a "Malefic Lich Lord"? I could assume Malevolent or Maleficient - but malefic? Are there no -Ents in New Brittania? Is it an intentional deviation like the Corpion?

    Malefic... adjective
productive of evil; malign; doing harm; baneful: a malefic spell.

First recorded in 1645–55, malefic is from the Latin word maleficus evil-doing, wicked.

If you can tell the difference between male and female liches (or skeletons even) you should probably get a new hobby

Be aware that clearing any random encounter will likely gift you with something terrible.

Why do liches look so goofy in SotA?
For me they should look like nasty and half decayed. They look like magic dolls instead.
Was that a request from the community or something like that?

It was likely what was available on the Unity Asset Store at the time.

They do look a bit cartoony.

Ghosts are also not scary looking.

U8 had the coolest ghosts. I'd love to see an updated version of those. Instead of translucent department store mannequins.

I get that they went with something that looks more non-corporeal, and they do, for our Ghost creatures. It's just missing something.... dark/ominous with them?

The Ghost creatures in U8 were REALLY cool looking. They are more what I would expect our Lich creatures to look like (corporeal skeleton like creatures).

I don't mind the way they look but sometimes I think its the sound they make that scares me and adds a lot.

Another feature that's "working as intended". I guess.

Isn´t that a natural to assume from everyone who played Planescape Torment and spoke too much with some floating skull?

Oh, I'm not saying that the Lich won't "evolve" at some point. I share the "One of these things doesn't belong" feelings. Looking at mob/NPC/Character models is certainly something that would be a future item, once we are able to bring focus to it.

Never counted, but don't female skeletons have and extra rib?

On the contrary - male skeletons have one less...
