Perhaps Shroud's clock is running a little fast today and thinks it's tomorrow. Or are you a few hours ahead of CST? (Point being, I'm guessing this is related to the "holiday.")
We're using server time which is UTC. A bit in advance i admit i thought it would be an hour off myself but found out its a bit more But that way it's the same time for everyone.

I logged into a dark room, only a floor torch for light. My first thought? Oh no, I've done something wrong.... Second thought.. Why would I be in trouble? It gave me UO jail vibes I agree. It was definitely sudden... & refreshing!
Yeah, notice the spotlight on the wall in my photo. It is still noticeable with night vision, but not as obvious. PS: The staff is tradable. So hop on with an alt if needed.
I agree this was fantastic a surprise. One thing early on was once mentioned was due to having separate scenes intetesting and new iterations of scenes could be dropped in here and there but I haven't seen anything like that happen before. I've been here since 2013. I love surprises

Being the greedy glutton that I am, it should be clear that I now expect similar events to all holidays. Sure April, 1st is the start, but I see the "suddenly logged into Santa´s polar workshop and being asked by the elves to craft 100 toys to help out", "drafted by the Easter Bunny into his lair to dye eggs and deliver then across Novia", "drawn into the ice maze of the Frost queen/Väterchen Frost/Jack Frost", "lost in the redrose maze on valentines day", "Cupids Archery contest, win a silver arrow and a kiss of Maid Marianwhichever SotA beauty volunteers"...
That would be fun. Just as a reminder, we do have Krampus, Arch Lapin, Envy Angel and probably others that I can't remember at the moment.
Krampus is the only one who could be seen as harmless entertainment with a lot of good will and if you are into spanking. But I bet that the Arch Lapin is behind the BoomBunnies - he could have found out the function of the Holy Handgrenade and replicated it into his minions....
