    Do we know how many characters per account there will be?

    I've searched but haven't had luck turning anything up. I backed last year on the Kickstarter, but really haven't been involved until now. But everything is looking great, as I expected it would.

    Curt is correct. At least as of right now, as the devs haven't completely decided yet. They are leaning heavily on only allowing one online character per account.

    So would it be better to simply add an additional pledge to my existing account or create a secondary account and Gift one to it? How do referral bonuses play out in those scenarios?

    For role-playing purposes I hope that its only one account. It makes it more fun knowing that you are that character and can't have a bunch of alts

    make a new email, sign it up on sota, gift a founders pledge from your main account to the new one you just created, claim your $25 bonus and don't forget your $20 from Alienware.

    I went ahead and got it from someone who was close to getting a Lord level (at a good price of course :) ), I'm at Knight and working up to Lord level is just too rich for my blood. My daughter will probably use that account for the most part, but nice to have an alternate for toying around.

    The idea of a single character per account may be great for single player households. My wife and my kids also play, and buying 4 copies of the game is not an option. To me this is a significant barrier to further funding this game that I have very much been looking forward to. I truly hope this single character thinking changes (before the funding deadline is over).
