To push the demand for some single player features a bit, I am proposing that the devs should include dynamic romances with NPCs into the game. Dragon Age Inquisition will have something like this. There are not only the classic romances in which you court someone and eventually fall in love with him/her. You can also seduce an enemy or get intimate with a good friend.

Yes, romances are a very important part of a single player game, as it adds depth to NPCs and your relationship with them. Also the world feels much more alive with a realistic behaviour of NPCs and how you can interact with them.

An Ultimate RPG that aims to be a great single player RPG, too should definitely have romances :)

I'm not sure how well this would work in the online portion of the game....I like it of course but it would be hard for such a small team to pull it off.

    Online Portion... Pah ;)
Maybe we single player fans should get some things exclusive, too. PvP doesn't make sense in the single player part of the game and it is in the game nonetheless ;)

Hah wouldn't that be a hoot. If we make tons of single player posts then it would get a ton of notice.

That would be funny in online play though.
    Rune74: I love you FireLotus
    Blaquerogue: Wait.
Blaquerogue: I love you more FireLotus
    Mishri: Wait.
Mishri: I love you the most FireLotus.

    _an epic battle begins_

    Mmjarec appears out of nowhere.
    Mmjarec: Wait.
    Mmjarec: I love YOU FireLotus.

FireLotus: Mmjarec, I'm glad you feel the same.

The happy couple walk off into the sunset while the rest of us are like WTF?

The jig is up! You guys want a play mode to yourselves so that you won't have any romantic competition! Why don't you guys just do what I did with my husband... Chloroform.

sent from the future using my Coleco Adam

Great idea especially if they implement a perspiration mechanic.

Technically romances in the Ultimas weren't anything dynamic. All scripted.. I always had to sit back and wonder why kind of a virtuous "Avatar" runs around sleeping with all those women? He already had that fine girl in Cove and without so much as returning to Earth he can sleep around with 2 other women in SI. 3 timing bastard. Oh and not to mention the wenches in the Bath House. Is that virtuous Avatar?!?

In either case, a more dynamic system in single player would have to be exclusively single player. Which is perfectly fine by me.

On the PvP comment that's just a natural extension of combat.

I can see the difficulty with player/NPC romances in online mode (as @3devious said); it would be nice though to have dynamic NPC/NPC romances. Even in online mode we could all watch things developing.
Back "in the day" I used to frequent the Weyrmount. With my basic and abysmal programming skills I managed to create a pub (The Chequered Cork), run by Rutherford the bartender, who would give you a drink when asked. Julius also worked in the bar, and Rutherford's daughter was Ophelia. As time went by, Ophelia somehow got pregnant - when Rutherford found out Julius was thrown out for a while, but eventually forgiven. They got married and had a little boy - Spark.
I had fun writing that simple stuff; I think the people who attended the pub enjoyed seeing it play out.
