Can you place a furniture outside of a house? If not, why not?

Can you place tables/chairs in any location? if not, why not? I think furniture should be placable anywhere. I got a street vendor char who likes to make booths. Am I missing something or is this impossible?

 

Has to do with exploits and griefing. So currently this can only be done on your own property, but I believe they want to allow this capability in the future but with some limitations. I don't remember if they've said in detail how that will work yet.

 

It seems like the best solution would just to be letting anyone else move it as well to avoid griefing. Similar to UO. Honestly it just seems like if I drop a chair I should get a chair, but anyone else can pick it up.

 

Chances are we'd load up on bags of flour again and make a flour-bag-forts to keep liches at bay and kill them with arrows/magic.

 

No couches, cars or other lawn furniture allowed. We have redneck rules.

 

A lot of the funcionality isn't in yet. They will make us able to do so much more than most games that way. So no worries it is coming. Darkstarr said dropping things will be funcitoning by February.
