A few noob questions regarding in game items and pledge rewards.

    I just started playing on this latest release (R11) and earned the Tricorn carnival hat. I wound up deleting that character and made a new one as I didn't like his name. The new character does not have this item but it shows in my account. Am I correct in thinking before the game launches we will all get the opportunity to make new characters and these items will be available then?

    Also, when pledging for the Ancestor tier do we get the lot deeds in the alpha stages or only when the game launches?

    You are correct in your thinking. :)

    Pretty sure I have read that rewards will be included in the testing of R12. That might include lot deeds as well.

    Most likely reward lot deeds *will* need to be tested at some point before release, being as it is a fairly important pledge feature. :)

    I am guessing that once the dev team ties in rewards to our accounts, when we create our characters after each wipe, we will have our rewards re-gifted. It seems logical, but my thinking could very well be flawed.

    That's what I'm hoping for. How are there already player towns and homes in this release though?

    Lots can be purchased in-game using a certain amount of gold, that is how the existing housing is being managed.

    The existing "player owned towns" in this release were placed by the devs as examples of what to expect. They are not actually owned scenes, simply maps with a lot of housing which certain user communities have taken over for the duration. :)

    Have you tried "/bank" in game? I dont know if its functioning yet though, but i think thats where all your account rewards will show up eventually

    Awesome, thanks for all the answers! I can't wait to be a part of the testing and seeing how the game progresses. As a long time fan of the series and playing UO for many years it really has that Ultima vibe.

    My guess (and it's only a guess) is that the rewards are account-bound, that is, one reward per account, not per char.
