overland house placement

I would like to place a house on the overland map ^.^ Thanx.

The only way to get that currently is to buy a Player Owned Town which will get it's marker on the overland map but the houses will still be in the scene....

You should get a Metropolis.

 

So that the overland map will get plastered with houses like in UO where houses stood everywhere, even next to dungeon entrances? No way!

There's a game for that. Its called UO.

Player Owned Towns will be placed by the developers, so I don't think they are likely to be placed near dungeons.

 

let me rephrase then. I want it exactly like UO but in 3d, I would have payed for another 10 years of UO if it was in 3d actually

 

Sorry to disappoint. Shroud of the Avatar will not be, and was never intended to be UO 3D.

 

and the search continues, although technically LB wanted to build a game that was designed by us. so the only reason it didn't become a UO 3d is not enough people wanted it.

 

Exactly. There are not enough people wanting a UO 2, even in this community which largely consists of Ultima fans. So I doubt that a game that would be UO in 3D would be that successful.

 

With my next million $$ I will build UO3d. *shakes fist in high the air*
