Wish: Write comments in the friends list

Please.

I'd like to be able to have a comment for each friend in the friends list.
I meet people in a lot of different contexts and some people have complex names which makes it hard for me to remember who is who.

Would be nice if this could be tied to game items - in this case an expensive notebook.
That way you can switch notebook to write new comments and keep the old as a keepsake.

This sounds like a really awesome and reasonable idea.
I believe it would also be useful to have this very same option for each person in our Ignore/Block List.

many games let you drop a brief note in the guild list for guild members, and let guild leaders set permission as to who can edit them.

i don't see why two sets of notes can't be placed - yours, and the guild notes for a player. yours only you see.
and another set of notes for your friends list, AND ignore list...

it won't break immersion, because if you decide to use those menus, you already have broken it.

 

My desk is already full of work/private notes, and then there is that pile of game notes. A bit less cluttered sticky notes is welcomed by me.

+1 for allowing small notes next to names in your friends and ignore list.

 

I completely agree. In fact, we should be able to keep notes on everyone we meet. Eve did it because everyone was on the same server. Even if the file used is saved client side. That would be great.

 

Spoon, this is a great idea. But I'd really like to see you expand it beyond just friends.

I don't have a lot of friends, so it's easy for me to keep track of them. I have a lot of enemies and people I think are morons and I'd like to keep track of them more easily. So just having a general way to denote "This person steals kills" or "Wow, that's the dumbest person I've ever met" would be wonderful.
