I wonder if they have considered this feature. I do like reading but my lifestyle is torn between work and Shroud lol. I probably could find more time to read it but in the past I enjoy narrated versions of books while doing other tasks. I would pay for this option if available. :)

I'd be happy with an ebook so I can load it on my Kindle, I get a headache trying to read books on a tablet or computer!

I would love to have an audio book version too ... narrated by Bill Johnson.

Hey @Firelotus - if you can get me an ebook that I can read on my kindle and not break my eyes on my computer screen, I'll narrate it for you without any need for recompense from Portalarium. Good deal?! :D :D

I considered this Gabriel, and i thought about asking for permission from Tracy and Richard if once final, we never release it, give it to them, sign off all rights..etc

Doubt theyd say no under those terms (no risk, no loss, potential gain).

Ive discussed a tiny bit with Baldrith and Asclepius..

But thats as far as ive gone... The scope scares me.. And it could be done better, faster, least costly in a few days if people where in the same room :)

Hello Royalsexy. "Kindle my hearts desire" is a thread on how to get blade of the avatar on a kindle and other sources.
    https://www.shroudoftheavatar.com/forum/index.php?threads/kindle-my-hearts-desire.19411/

I created this specifically because of having the same problems as you. Hope it helps.

I totally agree with the above points, I wanted to add a couple new thoughts also:

    - An audiobook offering would engage a large portion of our current community into the lore of the world, this includes many that will likely never actually read the book
    - An audiobook version was never promised, so it could be sold without stepping on toes and it could be a new revenue stream for Portalarium (audiobook enthusiasts will happily pay, and it will support the game)
    - Offering the audiobook on audible.com would likely be very successful and would create yet another door to introduce people to the game to increase the size of our community
    - If Portalarium does make and sell the audiobook, I think it would be most successful if Richard were to narrate or if a professional voice actor were engaged (which might cost too much $$). Also obviously, I'm sure Richard isn't spoiled with excess time, but I think it's worth looking into.

@Firelotus, any way you can put this idea in front of the gang?

I had proposed a different twist to this a few days ago to Avatar's Radio to make the audio book and broadcast it a chapter at a time far enough apart as to not harm the sales. At the same time, Port could sell the entire audio book. The radio teaser would probably sell more copies and they could re-broadcast it for years to come.

This was something that Mr Hickman was approached with. I really would like this to be a thing to such an reach that I had personally done the approaching. Was returned with that Portalarium would need to give us their permission. I would be thrilled to have it aired at intervals they were happy with.
