    I know this is a buy to play game when released, but I would be interested if there were a subscription option available as well to help with more money flow to the game. I will spend plenty on the add-on store as time goes on as well I'm sure, heh. Just curious how many others would be interested in a subscription that had some sort of added bonus or something for $15 monthly subscription.

    No, my pledge covers me for all five episodes, if you want to contribute there are stretch goals or you could increase your pledge level.

    They've promised a subscription wouldn't be needed to play the game.

    If the subscription model were like Star Citizen's, where it is just to throw money at development and you get 1 add-on vanity item per month, I'd support that.

    If subscriptions helped guarantee the development of future episodes I would nave no issue. There are also other options in terms of micro transactions that could be used such as:

    - House Rent (pay with $ rather than gold)
    - PoT Rent (pay with $ rather than gold)
    - Character Appearance Alteration
    - Armour Skins
    - Dyes
    - Etc

    No... I think the monthly subscription model's time has passed. Implementing that, I think, would turn away too many retail players.

    I can't agree with that, either, as I view housing as an integral part of the game - that would, in essence, make it a subscription based game without being advertised as one. And that's even worse than being up front about it.

    Not really, it would just mean players have a choice. A serious gamer may choose to pay with gold as they are able to put the hours in. A more casual gamer may choose to pay with $ because they can't put the hours in, and when they do, they don't want to grind for gold just to keep their house.

    Explained that way, as an option rather than a global change, I don't disagree with. Not a bad thought.

    EDIT: Until something unforeseen occurs, the bottom drops out of the economy, and gold is somehow incredibly difficult to come by... Homeowners would then be forced to pay cash or lose their homes. Yes, it's a slippery slope argument, but it's something to consider nonetheless.

    EDIT 2: Crap, tried to get the edit in quick before I got quoted! Sorry, Envy.

    I think this is where the rental fees would come in and pay for the subscriptions if played right.

    The devs did say they're considering letting people pay the taxes on their lots with real cash. That of course doesn't matter for pledge lots, but it'll be similar to a subscription for some.

    I've already paid more for the game than I have ever (or ever will) pay for a subscription. Add a necessary subscription to play and I would be seriously ticked off. I am 100% against subscription.

    Keep introducing interesting things to the store though and they will make money from me. :cool:
