Why not place names also, instead of just streets? For example couple of city blocks could be named for something that's been there forever, or just because something happened there and it's remembered by that. Narrative, folks.

As a former postal worker, I think we should be organized by direction as well as name. In the city I was born in IRL, streets, lanes, and ways all go north and south and avenues, and Boulevards ran east and west. There is a "main" street called central and streets south of it are designated as such as are the streets north. We can apply the same logic in our large cities. This makes navigating an address easy. Using a grid based system means 1101 1st street north can be easily found in relation to 5609 6th Ave south (56th Street and 6th ave) Towns and villages should be just creative names that apply to the municipality itself. Perhaps pertaining to the commerce or establishment which applies. As f o r actual names, I will submit a list under a different post.

This is a tad misleading. Founders are Benefactors, and receive all benefactor perks along with their founder perks. Outside that confusion, it's a great idea! I think immortalizing all benefactors in the game with road names would be a wonderful thing.

FWIW:

I think that a lot of streets would have functional names: the main street in Braemar would typically be called Main Street or the like. However, I think the key thing to note is differentiating between a street vs. a road/highway. The main drag in Braemar is, arguably, the same road that leads all the way to and through Owl's Head.

With that said, I'd also agree that the nature/virtue of the town would shape the names used there. I could see Britanny having a Shimano Street, a Garriott Avenue, a Cayeux Boulevard, a Serpent's Lane, a Virtue Road, etc.
