Animal hides scraps ?

Does any one know if they can be used now. use to be
6 scraps, was, salt and tanning knife to make a hardened leather.
Tried up to 20 scraps and nothing.

And no recipes for scraps.

Any one got any recipes that work.

Yup, the recipes broken, they weigh a ton too, I just destroy them when I'm over wight... They don't sell for much either... I hope they use them for something... Even the venom sacks are useless, at least use them to make poison...

 

lol yes and I am hoping for crafting recipes to be fixed up for R17 at least many of them. That would be really cool.

 

I haven't really bothered with crafting in recent releases since it's in such a state of flux, especially when they added material variety which made crafting all kinds of fun. I'll probably wait until it settles down a bit more before I get back to updating my Resource Calculator. But I'm looking forward to the fixes and updates to it!

 

That's what I am feeling too. I was really hoping to get into the crafting and magic in this game, that or archery... But I have found both magic and archery to not be noobie friendly, and crafting is too expensive to just waltz into without any gold or know-how. Leaves me roaming the map as a meleer not crafting

 

Oh you will be able to. Crafting is kind of a mess right now since some recent changes to recipes just happened and they haven't got it all working yet, and remember since it seems you are new, no numbers you see are 'THE' numbers. Not on how much things cost or even how much damage you do, or even how much it takes to make a recipe. Those things are just there to play with, and will be tweaked and balanced as we go along. Would love to, my biggest hope is that archery and magic get some sort of consumable bag that has reduced weight for items. I like to power-grind when I do go out and tackle monsters, I don't mind having to dump loot i've gotten from drops at vendors but only having a few hundred arrows is upsetting. I switched to a pole-arm I had because my arrows were hitting for much less damage then melee and costing much more then melee.

Hurm, I may forget adventuring and just focus on crafting stuff. Wait that could be a true dwarvish player town concept! (except no dwarves in game)!!!!
