Loving everything so far.

    Hi, I am ntall1.

    I just wanted to introduce myself to the community, and say how much I am loving everything so far. I've been nerding out so hard on this game since I got it. I've managed to convince one of my friends to also get it and am in the process of getting another.

    MMO's today have all become so "gamey", and less "Alternate Life Simulators", that they have become boring. I love how I am forced to discover almost everything thru exploration and community interaction. I've not experienced this in an MMO in a very long time.

    So, thanks for this amazing game. I cant express enough how excited I am to be part of this games alpha/beta, and cant wait to see all the progress from now until release.

    Welcome Ntall1. So long as you and your friends remind yourself that this is an Alpha product, you will surely enjoy your time in game.

    I would say things are more...difficult... than they will be at launch time due to the dearth of unfinished systems, so bear with it and enjoy the slow steady progression towards release time.

    If discovering things on your own is what you like then you've definitely come to the right place. Richard Garriott (aka Lord British) has the exact same opinion you do about this and will not allow this game to slip down that road. See here:

    In any case I think there are a lot of people who will agree with you. The game IS more fun when we are not being hand held every step of the way. I hope you enjoy your stay and see you in game.
