    I just had a thought that SotA could offer college students who are studying acting to do voice overs for NPC's. Could work like an internship program. I would think some universities would have a sound studio to do the recordings in so they could be submitted from all over the world. For SotA would be a less expensive way to get voice added, if they want to do that, would also spread SotA name. It would also offer some professional on their resume with their name included in the game credits.

    Why not? After community music, why not have community voice acting for SotA, too?

    Give me a task such as a spoken conversation at a normal speed (no singing involved) and I can speak flawlessly in any accent you want. I can do American, British, Irish, Scandinavian. I speak professionally at my job and those that don't enunciate get fired. I have a reel of voice acting work examples if anyone's interested.

    It's pretty funny, I remember saying in one of the threads in this forum that it would be nice to have voice acting in the game, and everybody went apeshit saying how they don't like voice acting because it is really hit or miss. And that they want to read everything in the game like the old Ultimas. I thought that was a load of crap. Voice acting can be hit or miss I agree, but for the most part Its totally acceptable. Now community voice actors? That might be a little worrisome. Better pick out the most excellent ones!

    Well it depends on what group of people answer because as with every subject on these forums there are always split ideas of everything. It is always a debate. Rarely do I see everyone say oh great yay I agree. Every once in a while, but not very often. I think a little voice would add a lot to the game. But that's just me. I love voice in a game and great sound effects too;)

    I think that at least the ambient speech should be voice acted. By this I mean the dialogues the show up above the heads of NPC while walking by.

    The voices don't have to do 100% of the dialog. But it would be cool to get a voice greeting from NPCs.

    Or you're walking around town and can hear them talk. Right now the only sounds that indicate voices are city mumble sounds when you are on the overland map.

    It would also be cool to have the folks working at Portalarium AND the community do voices. That way it's a lot cheaper and everyone gets to participate and have fun.

    While you're at it, the crocs still sound like ankle biting Terriers. :D

    I am a firm believer of having the entire Main Quest be fully voiced. It would add the story alot in my opinion. Along with NPC chatter to make the towns, cities and world feel more alive.

    @Lord Baldrith

    As we know, my favorite line of yours from our last play always cracks me up, "Great story Harry! Terrific climax. Now I know how your wife feels." LOL :p
