In the days before a wipe...

...SotA becomes a ghost town. It's so depressing that I didn't even kill the chickens in Owl's Head.

 

Yes, you're right. I picked a good time to come down with a bad cold and a headache. I'm not missing out on anything

I'm really looking forward to a time when there are no more wipes... and I no longer have to rebuild my character.

I always thought that being ill was the best time to play computer games... or maybe being ill is an excuse for playing computer games... ANYWAY, get better soon.

 

Have had trouble logging in for over a week now knowing my efforts would be for nothing. Tired of just grinding both in this game and others I play. There should be a better way.

Not completely pointless though. You hone your personal (IRL) skills, find bugs/exploits, add data for review AND the more experience points you get now, the longer your multiplier will last .

So this explains the fact I haven't seen anyone in the big cities, LOL

 

Now is an ideal time for those with QA server access to find bugs and report them, while checking out all the great new scenes. Marvel at the cat people of Aerie!

 

Yeah. A three month wipe cycle is coming to an end plus the QA server is up so some people are in there looking for bugs pre-thursday release.

 

I spend more time loitering on the overland map coming up on a wipe. This is in the hopes of making new friends and running into old ones.

It feels a bit freeing to play with out the raterace. I find myself not skinning every animal or looting every corpse.

As much as I love to see more users around I do not miss the lag that comes with a Full House.. I guess there is always something to look for, depends on your perspective..

Funny thing though we had a small gathering tonight in the overland map, near owls head.. one person after another stopped until there was a small bunch of us all talking.. sort of cool actually..

I`ve been online almost every day since the last wipe. I do drop by Owls Dead to see if any activity is happening and to unload some 40-50 long bows I acquired from the skele`s. So much death... My chain mail is grey from bone dust. The spikes on my mace are worn smooth. So many skills at 70+. Not enough spaces in my hot bar to play all the ones I like. I scribble "for a good time call" on statues and the Oracle. I see how far I can swim into the ocean. I wish I could use explosives to fish with. I keep spending money to increase my bank weight limit. I wish I had a 100 gold for every unwanted trail encounter overland. I long for the last wipe to happen
