What is that noise?

    Hi all just started playing again grinding at Solace Bridge and I keep hearing this "chime" like sound that always comes through what seems randomly and it always makes me jump as it seems really loud. I cant explain the sound too much but it sounds very much like one of the old Ultima Online noises.

    Can anyone explain what this is?

    Sounds like a ghost of UO past. :p

    It might just be a place holder sound. Try turning down the SFX volume if that bothers you.

    For real though, I get it too. (just so you know you're not going insane)

    I assumed it was something leveling, but don't really know.

    This happens to me as well and I kept thinking its either some windows 10 notification chime or a system/gm message in chat lol.

    I also get that, and sometimes i can hear things attacking eachother when nothing is around.

    it's the sound for the purify spell. someone in the scene is curing themselves of zombie plague. that you can hear it through the whole scene is a bug though.

    When I stand outside a major town on the overland map, I get the soundscape of many people chattering.
    That is good. What annoys me is that in the looping sample, someone's digital device beeps.
    It is background noise, but the beeps annoy me.
    If you have not noticed, I apologize for pointing it out.

    There is one sound that bugs me I think it was meant to be the sound of wind in the trees but to me it sounds like a jumbo jet passing overhead.
