Crash, Crash, Crash - anyone else after yesterdays update?

We were in a few areas yesterday and kept crashing everywhere.

If we left a zone - crash
If we fought mobs - crash
If entered a zone - crash

It got so bad we all gave up.

Anyone else experience that yesterday?

Yep, East Reach Gap was worse and some playes had very bad lags also...

 

Yeah when I try to enter a basement the game goes poof.

 

Yup, took my brother 5 tries to make it out of ravensmoor.

I did myself CDT simply running to Etceter mine.

Patch notes say :

• Fixed some exceptions

Maybe it is a typo and it was supposed to be:

I expect a patch in the next 4 hours

 

No difference for me, it was crashing on exiting the zones just as often before ;p

I've noticed a few more crashes than normal, for sure.

 

I'm going to move this to the R30 Feedback section. If you can provide more details, even frequency between crash times, what you may have been doing when in those zones, etc., that would be helpful.

 

Been crashing a ton at Sequanna Collolus recently.

@Berek we are still going to get at least another patch this release right?

 

We were a party of 8
We were in Sequanna Colossus moved to Savrenoc Stronghold
Both areas were crashing

As to frequency I can't really say - but it would happen to the entire party but not all at once

I was with Randall yesterday - it seemed like we would take turns being booted - and mobs we were fighting would stop taking damage and just hang. I experienced crashes at a much higher rate than I ever had (about 1 crash every 5-10 minutes or so). I checked the output_log file each time and didn't see any similarities or obvious errors.

 

We got one just this morning! Possibly at least one other before R31, I'll check with the team.

 

I hope we get another, these last few patches have actually set us back in stability and reintroduced a bug that was just fixed. What's going on there?

 

I crashed when I used a recall scroll from Etcetra mines to Soltown...

 

Game will not even patch for me right now. Patcher keeps resetting when almost done.

Try verifying file integrity:

If that doesn't work, uninstall and reinstall the game should do the trick.

 

I do not use steam. Is that something I should be using now instead of just patching through the PC?

 

Yah, good question - I don't use steam either - not a big fan of steam

 

No, you do not need Steam to update. But I am not sure how to help your patching issue.

 

I can't say. I've given up actually logging into the game until they get the Linux issues resolved.
